Preventive maintenance network

Preventive maintenance keeps a vehicle reliable between scheduled services

Every visit follows a fixed odometer interval, produces an itemized estimate, and ends with a recommendation you can accept or decline on the spot.

  • PassMeasured value is inside the manufacturer tolerance. No work needed before the next interval.
  • DueStill safe today, but the part will fall outside tolerance before the next service. Replace at this visit.
  • CriticalAlready outside tolerance. The vehicle stays in the bay until it is corrected.

Status is set by measured inspection values, not by what a branch wants to sell.

Preventive maintenance network

Published service intervals by odometer reading

Six odometer checkpoints, each paired with the work it covers and the condition qualifier that decides the outcome. Status is set by measurement taken at the inspection, never by the schedule alone, so a 90,000 km vehicle with a clean timing belt reads pass and a 30,000 km vehicle with cooked brake fluid reads critical.

Odometer interval Service scope Condition qualifier Status
15,000 km Engine oil and filter, plus the 20-point inspection Also due at 12 months when annual distance is lower than 15,000 km Pass
30,000 km Brake fluid test, cabin and engine air filters, tyre rotation Filters replaced earlier on dusty or unpaved daily routes Due
60,000 km Brake pad measurement, coolant condition, spark plugs on petrol engines Pads replaced only below 3 mm of remaining friction material Due
90,000 km Timing belt inspection, transmission fluid sample, drive belt check Belt replaced on inspection result, not on mileage alone Critical
120,000 km Suspension bushings, fuel system cleaning, battery load test Load test repeated if the vehicle does short urban trips only Due
150,000 km Full fluid refresh, cooling system pressure test, steering and joint check Pressure test decides whether the radiator is replaced or flushed Critical

How the status column is read

Pass means the measured value is inside the manufacturer tolerance at this visit. Due means the component is inside tolerance but will fall outside it before the next planned interval. Critical means the measured value is already outside tolerance or the component shows a safety-relevant failure. Each row in the printed estimate carries the same chip, so the recommendation is approved item by item rather than as a package.

20-point inspection

All 20 checks, in plain language

The same 20 checks run in every network workshop, in the same order, measured against the manufacturer tolerance for your make, model and mileage. The first inspection is free, limited to one per vehicle, with no purchase, no membership and no follow-up service obligation.

Status comes from measured values: pass is inside tolerance, due is close to the interval, critical is outside the safe range and is quoted before any work starts.

  1. 01Brake pads. Thickness measured at all four wheels.
  2. 02Brake discs. Thickness read with a micrometer, not by eye.
  3. 03Brake fluid. Moisture tested; above 3% the fluid is due.
  4. 04Suspension joints. Play checked on a loaded lift.
  5. 05Engine oil. Level, colour and smell; the interval is set by kilometres.
  6. 06Oil filter. Replaced at every oil change, date stamped on the housing.
  7. 07Coolant. Level and freezing point read on a refractometer.
  8. 08Transmission fluid. Level and colour checked, plus any burnt smell.
  9. 09Air and cabin filters. Airflow restriction measured, not guessed.
  10. 10Timing belt. Inspected from 60,000 km on belt-driven engines.
  11. 11Serpentine belt. Ribbed side checked for cracks under tension.
  12. 12Battery. Resting voltage measured, terminals cleaned of corrosion.
  13. 13Spark plugs. Pulled and read; gap measured in millimetres.
  14. 14Engine mounts. Movement checked under load.
  15. 15Tyre tread. Depth measured in three grooves on each tyre.
  16. 16Tyre pressure. Set cold to the door sticker; sidewalls checked.
  17. 17Wheel alignment. Toe and camber read on a laser rig.
  18. 18Steering play. Measured at the wheel rim and the tie rods.
  19. 19Wiper blades. Checked for streaks and perished rubber.
  20. 20Lighting. Every lamp checked, including rear fog and plate lamps.

Status is set by measured values, not by opinion. The full reference sits in the interval reference table, and the inspection checklist is itemised on the 20-point checklist.
